All I can say is Wow! The Museum of Art is not a very big building but houses the most incredible art work here in El Paso.  The Tom Lea Collection is life imitating art. The movement and colors are inspirational. The Renaissance Collection transports you to the Palazzo Davanzati Museum in Florence, Italy. The art work is is from the 14 Century, The 14th Century!  it is amazing the colors, detail and flow of the figures make them look like

3-D. The Heritage Collection has bold bright colors, lines and details you keep looking to see if they are real.  The Museum has limited exhibits that come and stay for short time, so you need to check what dates they are running. They also have other are art and sculptures that are a must see.

If you haven't gone to see the museum yet, it is really worth a couple of hours to explore. The museum is free and you can leave a nominal donation. I can't wait to go back and see the new art exhibit and revisit the continuing ones.
