As we are nearing the end of summer, it is a good idea to prepare your home for winter. Start by checking your home's air flow. Vacuum and clean dust from stove hood, fans, baseboard heaters, vents, and dryer vents. Next, have your heating system inspected and serviced. Be sure to replace furnace filters and invest in a carbon monoxide detector. In addition, have your fireplace and chimney cleaned. Finally, check your home's insulation for any air leaks, such as window and doors. Once you are done, you can enjoy the long winter and football season.
