Homes are Selling More Quickly

Good news for Home Sellers! According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), typical amount of time it takes to sell a home is down 29.6 or from 98 days in July of 2011 to 69 days in 2012. Also, inventory of homes on the market is shrinking as you would correspondingly expect. At the end of July, there was a 6.4 month suuply of homes on the market which is 31.2 lower than a year ago when it stood at a 9.3 month supply. According to NAR, in more balanced conditions as we are seeing, home prices should rise 4.5 to 5 % this year and about 5% in 2013. This shows that the market has improved since last year and is projected to improve into next year. Now may be the time to get off the sidelines and into the game if you have a house to sell. Please call me at 915-740-3632 or email me at david@exitwestrealty.com. I will be glad to help and get your home sold!
