When it comes to home selling, we hear the best time to put your home on the market is... the spring. But when in spring? And when can you expect to get the most money for your house?

After evaluating statistics from homes sales in 2015 from the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS, I can PINPOINT when you should list your home for sale!

Here are the numbers:

Month (2015)Avg. Sold Price/Square FootDays on the Market

Not only do you have to look at WHEN the home sold, but the average selling price per square foot it sold, and when the home was put on the market. According to these statistics, homes sold for the most money in July, with about $87.94 per square foot. However, the homes that SOLD in July on average spent 97.10 days on the market. That time frame falls between March 26th to April 26th!

Here is when you should sell your home, by month you need to sell:

Sell in May: January 20 - February 19 (Hurry and List!)

Sell in June: February 22 - March 23 (Give me a call, let's get it on the market now!)

Sell in July - March 26 - April 26 (You have a few weeks before listing, but let's strategize the best way to sell your home!)

Sell in August - April 25 - May 26 (

*Note, these statistics include areas across the El Paso/Southern New Mexico area included in the GEPAR MLS system. Statistics could vary by neighborhood.
