Hey it's your AWESOME REALTOR® Martez Sims with Exit Realty here in El Paso. You're in your late 20’s or mid thirties, you have a career that pays well. You're frustrated with the amount of money you're shelling out for rent every month, or you're tired of sleeping on your mamma's couch, living by her rules. You fantasize about having your own space. So why haven't you done anything about it?That's the question I'm going to answer for you right here in this video. So if that's you, You wanna buy a house, you continue to tell yourself you're gonna buy a house. "I'll buy a house when _____, I'll buy a house when _____ ... Fill in the blanksHere's Martez Sims' top reason you have NOT done so...I know what you’re thinking....... Well I gotta increase my credit score.I'll buy a house when I get a more stable job. When I get that pay raise I can buy the house that I really want. It’s not that......It’s fear… Fear is stopping you from purchasing a home. If you have a stable job that pays, you have a descent credit score, and you have a fairly low debt to income ratio- and you've been saying "I want a house" but you haven't bought one--- It's fear that's stopping you...Now! if you have a low credit score, you can fix that. If you have a high debt to income ratio, you can fix that. If you're not making enough money to pay a mortgage, you can even fix that. But if fear is stopping you from buying a house... With out being consciously aware of the fear, you won't fix it. Because it camouflages itself as other thingsWellllll I gotta wait til my brother gets on night shift, because if I buy a house, i'm gonna need him to help me move.... and you'll believe this you'll think its real, you'll think it's true.or I really want to live out in the far east where they're still building, and they just haven't built my house yet. But as soon as they do, i'll be the first one to move in.. They aint never gonna build your house. Because its fear that's stopping you. I had a young lady tell me, and I know here well, by the way, she told me w"well I want to buy a house but I need to increase my credit score" I said well what's your credit score. She said it's 780. I said what... 780? I dropped the phone. But I knew then, what I was dealing with. That four letter word that begins with F. not what you're thinking. and i was able to help her.So if this is you, If you're tired of paying rent for a place that's never gonna be yours, or if you're tired of sleeping on your mamma's couch, living under her roof, playing by her rules. and you've been saying for 3 months, 6 months or maybe even years that you're gonna buy a house. Here's my challenge to you: don't think about the long arduous process of buying a house, or how difficult it can be.The first thing I want you to do is ask yourself if your excuses are real or if it's fear. You have to be honest with yourself here. Next, I want you to do is think of the thousands and thousands of people who are just like you, that have purchased homes in your city. You tell yourself, if they can do it, I can do it.The third thing I want you to do is commit to the first step. THAT'S IT! Don't think about or commit to anything but the first step. Once you accomplish that step, commit to the next step. then the next step, then the next. If you do that, within the next 45 to 60 days you too can enjoy the fruits of home ownership.
